The Oculus series is inspired by the iris of the eye - oculus means “eye” in Latin.

The series is unique and consists of the very first paintings I created with the intention of exploring the possibility of working as a full-time artist. It is my first art series and forms the foundation of my artistic expression.

The works were presented in the exhibition “An Artistic Explosion”, which was shown at Galleri Hamnkrogen in Kalmar in the summer of 2022.

The Oculus series will later be followed by an additional series.

In the works, the bird wings symbolize freedom.
